Moto Stacker was designed by Danny Horvat – a life-long motorcycle rider and collector with 38 years of engineering background.  Danny hit the same storage limits many riders face – wanted more bikes but couldn’t fit them in his garage.  What started as a personal project to solve his own storage problems has become the world’s first complete motorcycle storage solution for just about every type of motorcycle.  Refined over years of testing, it’s now used by riders across Australia and beyond.

Moto Stacker is proudly designed and made in Australia. Most components are fabricated locally around Sydney using high-quality materials and trusted suppliers. A small number of parts are sourced overseas, but only when they meet our strict quality and safety standards. We prioritise local production to ensure consistency, fast service, and to support Aussie manufacturing.

Moto Stacker is a heavy-duty, Australian-made motorcycle storage system. The Standard and XL dockers are designed to store your bike in an upright position with 360 degree movement on the ground, or you can pair our Dockers with our Universal Lifter, which allows you lift your motorcycle off the ground, giving you 1.6m clearance underneath, freeing up space to store another bike, or park your car, or to just keep your bike away from kids, pets and accidental damage. Yes — safety is baked into every part of the Moto Stacker system. We’ve included multiple built-in safety features like a self-locking lift mechanism – anti-fall device, tie-down points, and premium straps. Once your bike is in place, it’s not going anywhere. The lifter is rated to 600kg and tested well beyond that — so you can trust it with your pride and joy.

Yes. Moto Stacker is internationally patented with registered designs in Australia, the US, UK, EU, and Japan — so you won’t find knock-offs that do what ours does. It’s the real deal, built from the ground up with 10 years of R&D behind it.

Most systems handle just one type of bike — we built Moto Stacker to lift just about any bike, without the need for custom fittings or parts that are model or make-specific. From scooters to cruisers, our universal design means you only need one setup, no matter how your collection changes. It’s over-engineered for strength, loaded with safety features, and built to last a lifetime — not just for today’s bike, but for your future collection.

It’s a two-part system: a Docker (which your bike rolls onto) and a Universal Lifter (which lifts the docker and bike together). Once the bike is secured in the docker, the lifter raises it smoothly up to 1.6 metres. You can then store another bike — or even your car — underneath. It’s safe, simple, and rock solid.

Most likely, yes! Generally, Moto Stacker is requires a minimum of 2.5 metres of ceiling height to lift a standard bike to full height (1.6m), which is generally standard for small/single garage height. If your space is smaller than that, the system can still be used — it just won’t lift as high. Measure your ceiling and check for any obstructions like tilt garage doors. The XL Docker supports bikes up to 400kg. The Universal Lifter itself is rated to lift up to 600kg, so you’ve got a safety buffer. If your bike’s in that heavyweight zone, just make sure you’re using the XL Docker and all components are set up correctly.

The Standard Docker is designed for bikes up to 2.1m long. The XL Docker is designed for bikes up to 2.6m long. There’s no hard upper limit, but anything beyond 2.6m should be checked with us first. The key thing to be aware of this distance between your front and back tyres. The Dockers have been designed so that your rear tyre is sitting over the rear cross-member so it is supported (regardless of how long your tailpiece or exhaust system is) There needs to be enough room for the ramp to be secured with the locator pin in the last row of bolt holes, so that you can safely unload your bike off the Docker.

Yes — that’s the beauty of it. Moto Stacker is a universal system, so if you upgrade, downsize or swap bikes, the lifter and docker still work. As long as your new bike fits within the weight and length limits of your current docker, you’re good to go.

Very few — whilst we say we are ‘universal’, the reality is there are millions of motorcycles around the world and we can’t account for heavily customised bikes which may not fit our product, for example, unusually wide bars, extended wheelbases beyond 2.6 metres, bikes that have been lowered, have extra fairing added, have tyres that are wider than 300mm, weigh more than 400kgs, or are longer than 2.6 metres… BUT if in doubt, just ask us — we love a challenge and are always ready to help you solve your storage problems!

We’ve designed Moto Stacker to fit almost every bike — from scooters to superbikes, cruisers to adventure tourers. That said, you’ll need to choose the right docker:
– Standard Docker for bikes up to 250kg and 2.1m long
– XL Docker for heavier/larger bikes up to 400kg and/or over 2.1m long

If your bike doesn’t fit either, it’s probably a one-off — but contact us and we’ll help figure it out – we love a challenge!

Measure:
– The length and weight of your bike (to match the right docker),
– The ceiling height of your space (make sure you account for any garage doors that need space to open).
– The floor area check you have room to manouevre the Docker around in your garage to allow you to unload the bike)

Start by checking two things: Bike Weight, and Bike Length.

For longer bikes, the primary consideration is the distance between the front and wheel rear wheels. The rear wheel should not be sitting on the edge of the plank, it should be sitting over the cross-member that holds the wheels, allowing you to place the ramp placement pin into the final row of holes on the plank. If a bike is too long and resting on the very edge of plank you will not be able to attach the unloading ramp, and you risk flexing and damaging the end of the docker plank

– An XL Docker will fit most bikes up to 400kgs and/or up to 2.6m long

– A Standard Docker will fit most bikes up to 250kgs and up to 2.1m long.

Here are some common examples:
– bike weighs 300kgs but is 2.1m long – you need an XL Docker (due to weight)
– bike weighs 240kgs but has a long wheelbase (eg, 2.3m) – you need an XL Docker (due to length)
– bike weights 250kgs but has standard wheelbase (eg, 2m) – you can use either a Standard Docker or an XL Docker

Yes — while the maximum lift height is 1.6 metres, the system works at any height below that too. If you’ve got a low ceiling, just lift the bike to a height that is best for your needs. If you want to store another bike underneath, you can just move that bike forward so that the lifting blades are positioned over the lowest part of the bottom bike. Absolutely. That’s what we built it for. You can mix and match — scooters, sports bikes, cruisers — just make sure you’re using the right docker (Standard or XL) for each one. The Universal Lifter works with both.

This depends entirely on the weight and length of your bike. Here are some examples:

• If your bike weighs 240kgs and is 2.1m in length = your bike will fit on either a Standard Docker and an XL Docker
• If your bike weighs 240kgs and is 2.3m in length = your bike will fit only fit on an XL Docker – as the length of your bike is more than the maximum allowed for the Standard Docker, which is 2.1m
• If your bike weighs 300kgs and is 2.1m in length = your bike will fit only fit on an XL Docker – as the weight of your bike is more than the maximum allowed for the Standard Docker, which is 250kgs

The Universal Lifter is rated to lift up to 600kg and raise your bike to 1.6 meters high. It’s made from 5 mm structural steel, with a wide stance for stability. It rolls easily and locks in place. Check our spec sheet for full measurements and floor footprint.

No. We designed all our Moto Stacker products to keep things as simple as possible, removing the need to buy brand or model-specific parts. The only thing to consider will be the size of the Docker you need for you bikes both now and in the future. An XL Docker will fit all bikes up to 400kgs and 2.6m in length, whereas a Standard Docker will only fit bikes up to 250kgs and/or up to 2.1m in length.

No — the Universal Lifter is specifically designed to work with a Moto Stacker Docker (Standard or XL). Never try to lift a bike on its own — the docker locks it in securely, distributes the weight properly, and makes lifting safe.

Yes, but… to lift two bikes on the Lifter, they would need to be narrow bikes (eg trailbikes), each bike needs to be on their own Docker, the bikes and the dockers would need to weigh less than 600kgs combined, and you would need to purchase XL Blades which are longer than the Standard Blades that come with the Universal Lifter, as these can accomodate 2 Dockers. We highly recommend you get in touch with us to discuss your specific requirements.

• 2 x 17mm (11/16”) spanners
• 2 x 18mm (3/4”) spanners (or 2 x adjustable spanners/wrenches can be used)

To assemble the lifter, you will need:
• 1 x Rubber Mallet
• 1 x 10mm (3/8”) spanner
• 1 x 13mm (1/2”) spanner
• 2 x 17mm (11/16”) spanners (or 2 x adjustable spanners/wrenches can be used)
• 1 x Torque Wrench
• 1 x Spirit Level (optional)

Yes – the system is designed for straightforward, step-by-step assembly using basic tools. If you can handle light DIY tasks, you’ll have no problem setting it up. Each product comes with a clear and detailed instruction manual, and we’ve got videos online to guide you through it. It should take you around 45 minutes to assemble a docker, and around 30 minutes to assemble a lifter. Check out our Resources page for all our manuals and videos.

We don’t (yet) have a national network of official Moto Stacker installers that can assemble the products for you, however, we are confident that the assembly instructions and videos are easy to follow, so anyone can assemble it themselves. Plus, by doing it yourself, you’ll get to know how the product works, giving you greater confidence when you use it.

No. Moto Stacker was designed for safe and secure storage of motorcycles. If anything, it can help reduce risk of accidental damage to bikes or property. We’ve spoken with one of the leading motorcycle insurers in Australia and they raised no concerns, and in fact they were very supportive of any product that can provide greater protection and security for bikes when they are not being used. We recommend you contact your insurer directly if you have any concerns.

The docker plank has raised and inverted bolt holes so any unexpected fluid leaks won’t drip onto whatever’s stored below.

Moto Stacker is over-engineered for maximum safety — but like any product, correct setup and use are essential. Read the safety guides, follow all the instructions, secure your bike properly, and you’ll minimise the risk.

Yes — there are built-in anchor points for locks or chains if you want to add extra security. You can also secure the lifter to a wall for extra security, however you will need to have appropriate wall fasteners installed to suit your wall material. We recommend you engage a qualified tradesperson to install these.

We are located in Sydney, NSW, Australia. Our main office is in Banskmeadow, NSW, and our warehouse is in Mount Druitt, NSW.

As every order and delivery location is different, due to the size and weight of our products anything under 25kgs must be shipped on pallets, which means delivery drivers need to plan for tailgate delivery (unless you have a forklift available at your delivery address). We use trusted freight carriers that specialise in large and heavy goods. Everything is packed securely with protective materials to prevent damage in transit. Due to the size and weight of the products, they must be secured on pallets, and the delivery driver will need to use a pallet jack to unload the goods safely. Yes — we have a showroom in Banksmeadow, NSW, Australia if you want to see Moto Stacker in action. Visits are by appointment only – contact us if you wish to book a time.

Yes — someone will need to sign for delivery. These items are large and valuable, so we require you or an authorised representative to be on-site to receive them safely. Note that the products cannot be left outside in the rain or inclement weather. If a delivery driver is unable to successfully deliver products, you will need to organise re-delivery with the freight company at your own expense.

Yes — if you’re in Sydney, you can choose local pickup from our showroom. Please note you will need to plan for how you will safely unload the products at your destination. Our products are heavy, so we recommend you get in touch with us to discuss the logistics of onloading/offloading. Please also note these products can’t be transported in the rain, you will need a covered vehicle.

Not that we think you’ll need it, but we offer a 10-year warranty on all Moto Stacker products when used and maintained according to the assembly and operation manuals.

Moto Stacker stores bikes vertically and with a small footprint, allowing you to display more motorcycles in the same area without compromising on presentation or access. It’s ideal for clean layouts and optimising floor plans.

You must only move a bike on the Lifter when it has been elevated approx. 2cm off the ground to enable you to manoeuvre the Lifter into its final storage position. You can then continue to lift the bike to the desired height. For safety reasons you must not move the Lifter when the bike is fully elevated as you may risk accidental tip-over.

Yes. The Docker designed for easy manoeuvring regardless of the weight of the bike, allowing you to roll and position your bike within the garage, then lock it in place securely.

No. It’s actually safer than storing your bike on its side stand or at an angle. The system supports your motorcycle at multiple points to avoid pressure on suspension or tyres, even during long-term storage.

Yes. Moto Stacker is designed for one-person use. That said, we recommend having someone with you the first time you assemble and operate it—just to assist with visual checks and offer an extra set of hands if needed.

No. Moto Stacker must be used on a flat, level surface. Due to the size and weight of motorcycles being lifted, any slope or unevenness can compromise stability and pose serious safety risks—to your bike, your property, and anyone nearby. Always refer to our safety guides and instruction manuals before use.

Yes. Moto Stacker lifts your motorcycle up to 1.6m, and the width of the Lifter base frame is 92cm, which is plenty of room to park your car underneath without damage.

Moto Stacker is designed to work within most standard garage dimensions.
You’ll need to measure the total height of your bike(s) when they are vertical/upright (not on their side stand), then measure your ceiling clearance (don’t forget any clearance you need for your garage door!)
